Box in Box model or ‘Citadel’ is a shelter originally designed to protect occupants in extreme circumstances. Ideal for military, industrial, corporate or civilian applications providing a secure safe haven for the occupants until a safe evacuation from it in the event of terrorist attack, piracy (Maritime applications for Vessel and Offshore oil Platforms), home invasion, extreme weather conditions shelter, earthquake shelter and many more.
The Box in Box model utilises the ISO 20' or 40' containers homologated for sea freight or road transport use. They are easy and very quick to deploy with no special engineering required for installation or use. Blast resistance of the shelter is much greater than a normal reinforced container and provides concealment and disguise as the actual armoured structure, doors, vents and vital equipment are disguised within the shipping container shell, away from curious eyes.
The shelter is fully self-contained and equipped with a long list of features such as power generator, UPS, batteries, air conditioning inverter, fuel tank, fresh water tank, grey water tank, sanitary facilities, CBRN-E air filtration system, thermal and acoustic insulation suitable to every environmental and climatic condition, blast proof ventilation, fire proof insulation and self-fire extinguishing system. All these features make the shelter suitable for autonomous use over an extended period of time.
While the standard unit is the shelter, within the ISO Container, the armoured shelter itself and ISO Container may be used separately if required.
